Internship – Beer Category Growth & Innovation

Beer is at the heart of HEINEKEN – but how people choose, enjoy and connect through beer is changing fast. That creates an exciting challenge: how do we keep beer growing for the future?

The internship

As an intern in the Beer Category Growth & Innovation team, you will work at the intersection of consumer and category understanding, strategy and innovation. From spotting emerging consumer needs to developing new propositions, testing products and bringing ideas to life, you’ll be involved in the journey from first insight to tangible innovation.

You’ll join a team that looks beyond today's business and asks: where can beer go next, and how can HEINEKEN help shape that future?

What will you be working on?
  • Analyze trends to spot growth opportunities: Explore consumer, category, cultural and competitive trends to understand how needs and behaviors are changing and where new opportunities for beer could emerge.
  • Create impact through powerful stories: Help translate information into clear, visual and compelling stories for stakeholders across functions and markets.
  • Bring innovation ideas to life: Contribute to idea generation, proposition and concept development, consumer research and product development, including getting hands‑on with prototypes and product tastings.
  • Own and make things happen: Help drive projects forward by organising research, tastings, workshops and internal events, coordinating across teams and markets, and solving the practical challenges.
  • Collaborate globally: Work with colleagues across Global Commerce, R&D, our operating companies across the globe and external partners.
Your new team and workplace

The Beer Category Growth & Innovation team is part of Global Category Growth & Innovation. We help drive the future growth of beer for HEINEKEN worldwide by combining consumer understanding, strategic thinking and innovation.

We are a diverse, international team: curious, ambitious and collaborative. We like people who are comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions and figuring things out when there isn't an obvious answer.

This is not an internship where you'll only observe from the sidelines. We'll give you real responsibility and space to own your work, while giving you the support and guidance you need to grow.

The unique you!

Energy, curiosity and the ambition to grow are what make the difference. In addition, you bring:

  • You are proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership in a fast‑moving environment.
  • You enjoy connecting with different people and making things happen.
  • You are a strong visual storyteller, confident in PowerPoint; design skills and experience with AI tools are a plus.

Even if you feel you don’t meet all the criteria, we encourage you to apply. An internship is the perfect opportunity to learn and grow.
