Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking an International guest service host for a cruise ship. This full-time role focuses on assisting guests at the Guest Services Desk, especially non-English speaking groups and individuals with special needs to ensure a first-class experience.

The candidate should have English at an intermediate-advanced level and another language (German, Spanish, Russian, French or Italian). Experience in hotel/guest services and familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Micros, Fidelio

Qualifications

• Two-year Associates degree or equivalent in Public Relations and/or Hotel management from a recognized hotel institution.
• At least one year management experience in hotel, hospitality, or guest services on board ships.
• Intermediate to Advanced English and at least one other language (German, Spanish, Russian, French or Italian) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests at the Guest Services Desk, focusing on non-English speaking groups and individuals with special needs.

International guest service host (cruise ship )

• Full-time

Assists all guests at the Guest Services Desk, but concentrates specifically on non-English

speaking groups and individual guests with their special needs and requirements in their

native languages so as to give them a full, first class cruise experience.

In order to consistently exceed guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product

and services. Reports to Guest Service Supervisor on a daily basis

• Intermediate to Advanced verbal and written level of English is required.
• Intermediate to Advanced verbal and written level in at least one other language such as German, Spanish, Russian, French or Italian is required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Micros and Fidelio Cruise is required.
• Must have at least one year management experience in Hotel and/or hospitality establishments; or in Guest Service related positions on board ships.

EDUCATION

• Two-year Associates degree or equivalent in Public Relations and/or Hotel management from a recognized hotel institution.
