Job summary

NewPort Tank Containers in the Netherlands is seeking an energetic claims coordinator for an international tank container fleet. You will manage end-to-end claim processes from intake through investigation to resolution, coordinating with customers, insurers and internal teams.

The role blends legal awareness with practical logistics, requiring evidence gathering, file maintenance and proactive progress monitoring to ensure data accuracy and timely actions.

Qualifications

• Education at MBO level 4 or equivalent.
• Experience in logistics, transport, claims or insurance; practical understanding of the logistics chain.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English at C1 level, spoken and written.
• Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills.
• High accuracy and confidence working with administrative information systems (Microsoft Office).
• A critical, results-driven approach and persistence in following up missing information and actions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate new claims and build a complete claim file with required information.
• Notify insurers and actively obtain missing documents from customers and other involved parties.
• Maintain accurate claim administration files and ensure traceability.
• Monitor claim inventory and follow through to resolution.
• Coordinate with customers, insurers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to clarify damages and responsibilities.
• Provide accurate data for statistical reports and progress monitoring.
