Job summary

OMRON Management Center Europe in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, invites motivated students for a 3–6 month internship in the Internal Audit Department. You will learn from experienced team members while supporting planning, testing, and documentation of financial and operational audits.

Advanced data analytics, Power BI, and automation tools will be leveraged to identify trends and improve audit processes. Availability for at least 3 days per week and enrollment at a Dutch educational institute are

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our Internal Audit Department in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands! During your internship you will be learning and working with experienced members of our team.

What will you do as an intern?

• Support audit team with the planning and execution of financial and operational audits by conducting testing and documenting the outcome.
• Develop logical and organized working papers that supports the work and testing performed.
• Perform analytical review of operational and financial data as support for internal audits.
• Harness technology and analytical tools to explore data trends.
• Assist the team in exploring how new ideas and technology (e.g. AI) can improve audits and the audit process.

Who you are?

• You are studying to get an HBO / WO / bachelor’s degree in business administration, Financial Control, accounting, auditing or similar.
• Mastering your data analytics skills is part of the curriculum.
• Affinity with data analytics, visualization, automation tools and an interest in leveraging technology to improve audit and business processes.
• Basic understanding of accounting and audit principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform solutions (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) is considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with SAP is considered an advantage.
• You have good command of the English language.
• You are entrepreneurial and curious to learn.
• Passionate about numbers, attentive to details and interest in finance, accounting and auditing.
• You are available for an internship of 3 to 6 months and currently studying in The Netherlands.

Other requirements you need to meet:

• The duration is 3 to 6 months, with an availability of at least 3 days per week.
• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship.
• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your school is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
