Job summary

OMMAX in Amsterdam is seeking an Intern in Strategy & Transactions to work with our Benelux leaders on strategic analyses, transaction-related projects, and local business development.

You'll gain hands-on experience, take ownership early, and contribute to market research, due diligence, and digital business model assessments, with a flexible hybrid schedule across our offices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing university degree with excellent academic results.
• Experience in strategy consulting or transaction advisory is a plus.
• Strong analytical and structured, detail-oriented working style.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Curiosity about digital business models, AI, and market dynamics.
• Independent, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Support Amsterdam team with strategic analyses, client materials, and local business development initiatives.
• Conduct market, industry, and competitor research and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Support prospecting and lead-generation by identifying potential private equity clients and opportunities via desk research.
• Contribute to transaction-related projects including due diligence, market assessments, and digital business model evaluations.
• Explore digital business models and emerging technologies, including AI, for investors and businesses.
• Prepare reports, slide decks, presentations, proposals, and other client materials.
• Maintain and expand internal knowledge resources, including best-practice materials and slide libraries.

Help us scale OMMAX Amsterdam

- as an Intern in Strategy & Transactions, you will work closely with our Partner & Head of Benelux and growing team on strategic analyses, transaction-related projects, digital business models, AI topics, and local business development. You will gain hands‑on experience, take ownership early, and help shape our presence in the Netherlands.

What we look for:

• You support our Amsterdam team with strategic analyses, client materials, and local business development initiatives.
• You conduct market, industry, and competitor research and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and relevant developments.
• You support prospecting and lead‑generation activities by identifying potential private equity clients, portfolio companies, and other business opportunities through desk research.
• You contribute to transaction‑related projects, including commercial and digital due diligence, strategic analyses, market assessments, and digital business model evaluations.
• You explore digital business models and emerging technologies, including AI, and assess their relevance for investors and businesses.
• You prepare reports, slide decks, presentations, proposals, and other materials for client projects, investor analyses, and pitches.
• You maintain and expand internal knowledge resources, including best‑practice materials, slide libraries, benchmarking databases, and whitepapers.

What we require:

• You are currently pursuing a degree at a university (ideally in the Netherlands), in management, economics, computer science, or a related field, and achieve excellent academic results.
• You ideally have initial practical experience in strategy consulting, transaction advisory, business development, or project support.
• You demonstrate strong analytical skills and a structured, detail‑oriented working style.
• You have strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
• You are curious about digital business models, emerging technologies, AI, and market dynamics.
• You work independently, reliably, and proactively and take ownership of your work.
• You communicate clearly and enjoy working in a team.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
