Job summary

Under Armour in Amsterdam offers a Software Quality Assurance Rookie Internship (Sept 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027). You will join a global sports brand to learn, grow, and work on real business challenges.

As a Rookie, you will be trusted with a strategic project that requires critical thinking, collaboration across functions, and measurable impact. You will gain exposure to Go-To-Market, Commercial, Retail and Sports areas while developing QA automation practices and participating in Agile

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s program in digital, computer science, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of agile principles and scrum processes.
• Basic knowledge in performing root cause, change impact and risk-based test analysis.

Responsibilities

• Attend agile ceremonies and take QA tasks from the scrum board.
• Own the testing process of your responsibility area and execute test cases.
• Prepare test cases if needed, report issues and verify testing scope.
• Coordinate keeping project artifacts up to date in Confluence and JIRA.
• Identify and manage QA dependencies with cross-functional teams.
• Understand user flows in apps and website.

Are You The Next Rookie?

• Enrolled in a Dutch college or university (Bachelor’s or Master’s) for the full duration of the internship (September 2026 – June 2027)
• Hold EU citizenship, OR are a non‑EU student studying in the Netherlands
• Internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum
• Humble and hungry, with a strong willingness to learn

As a Software Quality Assurance Rookie:

• QA AI Based Process Improvement and Automation: You will have the opportunity to leverage AI for QA Automation and increase the efficiency of daily QA activities/processes by implementing QA Automation practices into the QA processes – making this more error-proof and less time consuming.
• You will be responsible for attending agile ceremonies, get QA tasks from the scrum board, own the testing process of your responsibility area, prepare test cases if needed, execute the test cases, report the issues and verify the testing scope clearly defined and executed

Your Impact

• You analyze the current QA processes in the scrum teams and find the pain points, suggest the improvement actions, take the initiative to implement the POC for the suggested improvements, organize review meetings and collect feedbacks
• You participate in multiple cross functional product development teams and scrum ceremonies
• You create defects related to issues that you found during test execution period
• You define the testing scope of the tickets that are assigned to you
• You partner closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Engineering, Delivery, etc.), to proactively identify and manage QA dependencies, scope, and acceptance criteria
• You deeply understand user flows in the apps and website
• You take an initiative to chase down answers and actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including Daily Stand‑Ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Sprint Reviews and Demos for your teams
• You coordinate keeping project artifacts up to date in UA business systems like Confluence and JIRA
• You escape issues and impacts to delivery timelines and work proactively with teams to remove barriers to project execution

• Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
