Job summary

Riverflex is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the migration of a central data platform from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric. You will design, implement and optimize lakehouse pipelines across bronze, silver and gold layers, aligning with the target architecture.

You will own one or more roadmap items end to end, coach a data engineering team, and drive CI/CD and governance in a hybrid Rotterdam setup. EU work authorisation required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and running a data platform in Azure.
• 5+ years of dimensional data modelling, SQL and PySpark notebooks.
• Hands-on with lakehouse architecture and medallion principles.
• Proven delivery in complex multi-source environments.

Responsibilities

• Migrate platform from Synapse to Microsoft Fabric and adapt pipelines/notebooks/data models.
• Own roadmap items end to end, focus on performance, cost, quality and monitoring.
• Build and maintain scalable pipelines and PySpark notebooks across bronze/silver/gold layers.
