Brewer Morris is seeking an experienced Interim Cost Controller to support a period of business change in Utrecht. You will own cost control, reporting, budgeting and financial analysis, helping the organisation improve visibility and strengthen controls.
You will work with finance and operational stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, delivering clear insights and governance improvements, and supporting month-end close and strategic business cases.
Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Cost Controller to provide critical support during a period of business change and growth. Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders, you will take ownership of cost control, reporting, budgeting and financial analysis, helping the organisation improve visibility, strengthen controls and identify efficiencies across the business.
This role would suit a hands-on finance professional who can quickly build relationships, deliver clear financial insights and drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Monitor, analyse and challenge operational and project-related costs across the business.
Produce monthly cost reports, management dashboards and detailed variance analysis to support decision making.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring accuracy and providing meaningful commercial insight.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiencies, partnering with stakeholders to implement improvements.
Work closely with operational management to understand key cost drivers and performance trends.
Review and improve cost allocation methodologies, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Strengthen financial controls and enhance cost management processes, reporting tools and governance frameworks.
Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and modelling to support strategic business decisions.
Assist with business case development, investment appraisals and project evaluations.
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
Proven experience in Cost Control, Management Accounting or Commercial Finance within a complex business environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
Experience working in an interim, project or transformation-led environment would be advantageous.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and influence senior decision makers.
Advanced Excel skills and strong financial reporting capabilities.
