Job summary

Homerun B.V. is seeking an interim Construction Manager to lead on-site execution for a first-of-its-kind circular concrete project in the Netherlands.

You will coordinate daily activities, align subcontractors, and keep materials moving while ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budget compliance. The role requires hands-on leadership, experience with structural steel and mechanical installation, and a track record of promoting safety on demanding construction sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as Construction Manager, Site Manager or Field Supervisor in industrial or civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards and workflows.
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site coordination.
• Valid VCA-VOL and GPI is required.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong plus.
• Available to work from October 2026 until March 2027.
• Lives at commuting distance of ’s-Gravendeel; daily presence on-site is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site construction activities and ensure work is executed according to budget and schedule.
• Proactively report schedule, budget, safety or quality deviations and define practical recovery actions.
• Lead the day-to-day supervision of structural steel assembly and mechanical equipment installation activities.
• Coordinate daily with the Civil Works Project Manager and other technical disciplines.
• Ensure the availability of materials, labor, and equipment, and manage site logistics.
• Oversee subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to agreements.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and compliance with design specifications.
• Ensure construction activities comply with all permit conditions, environmental requirements, and site obligations.
• Identify and troubleshoot site-related challenges, escalating issues where necessary and ensuring timely resolution.
• Track and report progress, risks, and issues to the Overall Project Manager and stakeholders.
• Support site inspections, documentation, and readiness for commissioning.
• Create a professional, well-organized site environment where teams know what is expected and can work safely and efficiently.

Together with Dura Vermeer, we are bringing circular concrete technology from pilot scale to commercial reality. Join our team as interim Industrial Construction Manager at the heart of this project.

About the position

As Construction Manager, you will be the key person on site during the execution phase. You will turn plans into safe, coordinated and high-quality construction work by managing daily site activities, aligning subcontractors and technical disciplines, keeping materials and equipment moving, and ensuring progress stays on track. You will work closely with the Overall Project Manager and Civil Works Project Manager, while maintaining a sharp focus on safety, quality, schedule, budget and compliance with all applicable permit requirements.

This role is ideal for a pragmatic, safety-minded construction professional who enjoys being close to the work, solving problems quickly, and bringing structure to a dynamic construction site.

• Experience working under permit conditions and ensuring construction activities remain compliant with applicable environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record in promoting and improving workplace safety and able to raise safety awareness.
• Hands-on, calm under pressure and comfortable making practical decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a strong plus.
• Available to work from Monday to Friday from October 2026 until March 2027.
• Lives at commuting distance of ’s-Gravendeel as daily presence on-site is required.
