Job summary

Adyen is seeking an Internal Control Specialist in Amsterdam to strengthen the global internal control framework with a focus on integrity risk. You will assess operational processes, collaborate with Compliance, and support management through testing of controls and audit cycles.

You will work in a fast-paced, global environment, autonomously, driving improvements and automation while protecting the company culture and long-term goals.

Qualifications

• Relevant working experience (approximately 4-7 years) within external audit, (operational) risk management or internal control function.
• Experience within a big-4 and/or the financial services industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of operational processes, risks and building internal control frameworks with a focus on integrity.
• Critical thinking and eagerness to solve challenges.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment with a can-do mentality.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen and manage the global internal control framework (with a focus on integrity risk) and support management with internal control matters.
• Evaluate operational processes, risks and controls (integrity focus) to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Coordinate and perform testing of controls (integrity risk) and report on effectiveness of risk and control systems.
• Manage auditor requests to ensure successful audit cycles (e.g. SOC1/SOC2 audits).
• Create a network and advise the business with Compliance/Regulatory teams to strengthen the control framework and contribute to projects (e.g. SIRA).
• Collaborate with Internal Control peers to manage the global framework and contribute to projects (e.g. new products, licenses, RCAs).
