Job summary

Air Products in Rotterdam seeks a Maintenance Engineer Instrumentation to ensure reliability, availability, and safety of instrumentation across facilities. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize plant performance and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires expertise in instrumentation, control systems, and maintenance in a process environment, with a focus on RCA/RCM and safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation, control systems, and maintenance engineering within a process industry environment.
• Knowledge of RCA, RCM, FMECA, or RBI.
• Experience with SAP or other CMMS systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support preventive and corrective maintenance for instrumentation and analytical systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures, troubleshoot issues, and implement sustainable reliability improvements.
• Identify recurring issues and drive RCA/RCM based improvements.
• Develop maintenance scopes, support budgeting, and prioritize work based on risk.
• Provide instrumentation expertise during plant modifications, upgrades, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and eMOC requirements.
• Maintain accurate equipment records and documentation in SAP.
