Air Products in Rotterdam is seeking an E&I Technician to maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment across our production facilities. You will join a focused maintenance team dedicated to safety, reliability and continuous improvement.

The role suits hands-on professionals with a practical mindset who can troubleshoot, work safely and collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering colleagues to keep the plant running efficiently.

Qualifications

• MBO Level 4 in Electrical or Instrumentation.
• Experience maintaining electrical/instrumentation in industrial environments.
• Able to troubleshoot and work in a structured and safe manner.
• Hands-on mindset with a willingness to learn.
• Team-oriented with clear interpersonal skills.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and reliability.
• Dutch preferred and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnose faults, determine root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Prepare, plan and complete maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
• Support plant shutdowns and turnaround activities.
• Work with permit-to-work systems and perform risk assessments.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors when required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation and equipment data.
• Help ensure spare parts and maintenance stock are handled effectively.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that increase plant reliability and safety.
• Work with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering colleagues to solve technical challenges.
• Support maintenance and compliance of E&I-related safety systems.
• Certifications such as VCA, NEN3140, NEN3840 or willingness to obtain them.
• Participation in the breakdown service/on-call rota (approximately once every 6–7 weeks).
• Occasional overtime may be required.
• Occasional travel to other Air Products locations in Netherlands/ Europe.
• Some maintenance activities may require working at heights or in hard-to-reach areas.
