Job summary

Y-Axis in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen the backbone of our betting platform. You will manage Windows Server AD, vCenter/vSphere operations, and storage across private and public clouds, ensuring robustness and scalability.

You’ll work on automation with PowerShell, Ansible and Python, help drive AI-powered optimization, and participate in on-call/on-site weekend support as part of a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Windows Server administration, including AD, DNS, DHCP, and Failover Clustering.
• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) experience, incl. vCenter, vSphere, and monitoring tools like Aria Operations.
• Hands-on experience in file, object and block storage; familiarity with NetApp, Hitachi and Pure Storage.
• Drive automation through AI, scripting and coding using PowerShell, Ansible and Python.
• Interest in using AI-powered tools to support investigation, documentation and agent-based workflows.
• Fundamental understanding of networking, load balancing, enterprise storage, tiering and virtualization.

Job Description As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will help power the technology behind the world’s favourite sports betting platform, ensuring our systems remain robust, scalable and ready for anything.

The Infrastructure Systems team manages the lifecycle of compute and storage platforms underpinning highly demanding products and services. This global environment is varied and complex, incorporating bare metal, virtualised, and containerised Windows and Linux workloads across private and public cloud.

Improving day-to-day operational efficiency and predictability is key. This role involves working on cross-functional infrastructure solutions, business continuity management, problem investigations, incident resolution and system builds, all while striving for continuous improvement.You will be required to provide office weekend support on a rota basis, and you may be required to join out of hours support on-call on a rota basis.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid work from home policy.
