Job summary

The Coca-Cola Company at The Blender site in Rotterdam is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to maintain on-site IT infrastructure, bridging enterprise IT with OT for continuous production reliability.

You will collaborate with automation and engineering teams, optimize servers, networks, and cloud integrations, and contribute to cybersecurity and sustainable technology initiatives across the manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical IT infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on infrastructure experience, preferably in manufacturing/OT environments.
• Experience with Windows Server administration and VMware virtualization.
• Strong networking knowledge including VLANs, IP addressing, firewalls, switches; OT network segmentation helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for infrastructure at The Blender plant, ensuring system stability and continuity across production environments.
• Connect with plant-floor engineers, automation teams, and enterprise technology stakeholders as the infrastructure SME.
• Monitor and optimize IT systems, including servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud integrations, to prevent downtime and ensure performance.
• Collaborate with OT leaders to align infrastructure with manufacturing needs and digital workflows.
• Lead tier-3 incident responses, diagnosing issues and enabling swift resolutions to minimize plant impact.

What You'll Do for Us

• Provide on-site technical support for infrastructure at The Blender plant, ensuring system stability, security, and operational continuity across production environments.

• Act as the internal infrastructure subject‑matter partner, connecting daily with plant‑floor engineers, automation teams, and enterprise technology stakeholders.

• Monitor and optimize IT systems including servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and cloud integrations to prevent downtime and enable reliable performance.

• Collaborate with operational technology (OT) leaders to align infrastructure with manufacturing needs and streamline digital workflows.

• Lead tier‑3 incident responses for complex technical issues, driving accurate diagnosis and swift resolution to minimize plant impact.

• Manage multi‑vendor relationships for local infrastructure projects and deployments, ensuring alignment with technical and business requirements.

• Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps that align local needs with broader company technology evolution and sustainability goals.

• Execute deployment and change operations confidently while maintaining clear communication, documentation, and adherence to technical standards.

• Identify opportunities for infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement, including automation collaboration that reduces system complexity.

• Support initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity posture, network segmentation, and secure connectivity between IT and OT environments.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience in IT infrastructure.

• Proven experience in hands-on infrastructure roles, ideally within manufacturing or operational technology environments.

• Proficiency in Windows Server administration and VMware virtualization technologies.

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, IP addressing, firewall configuration, switch management, and wireless connectivity; experience with OT network segmentation is beneficial.

• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, and administration of Microsoft cloud platforms.

• Experience deploying and managing hybrid infrastructures across Azure and on-premises environments.

• Demonstrated capability in system troubleshooting and component isolation with structured documentation practices.

• Ability to manage external vendors effectively and align deliverables with operational needs.

• Strong communication skills, able to convey technical topics in accessible language appropriate to a cross‑functional audience.

• Digital fluency and awareness of how modern tools—including AI and automation - can enhance stability and efficiency in infrastructure operations.
