Job summary

Van Oord is seeking a Cost Estimator to support infra projects in the Netherlands. You will prepare cost estimates with tender managers and engineers, translating design input into realistic budgets and clear cost guidance.

You’ll assess risks and contribute to technically sound, financially feasible bids. Ideal candidates hold a civil engineering–oriented HBO/WO degree, with basic cost-engineering knowledge and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• HBO or WO degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of cost engineering, equipment and projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple budgets and sub-budgets under supervision.
• Analyse tender documents and gather technical input.
• Identify risks in budgets.
• Conduct site visits under supervision.
• Develop simple work methods and schedules.
• Collaborate in integrated tender teams with engineers, planners and risk specialists.
