Job summary

WestPoint Search is partnering with a complex international organisation to appoint an Information Security Officer as it continues to strengthen and mature its global security capability.

This role operates across the full security landscape, coordinating incidents, managing risk and engaging senior stakeholders to translate security issues into business impact. You’ll work within a Microsoft security environment, manage external providers and contribute to governance, audits and improvement.

Qualifications

• Broad information security professional with multi-domain experience.
• Ability to translate technical security issues into business risk.
• Experience with governance, risk and ISO 27001.
• Experience coordinating incident response and working with external providers.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate with senior leadership.

Take ownership of information security across an international organisation where security operations, risk, governance and the business genuinely come together.

WestPoint Search is partnering with a complex international organisation to appoint an Information Security Officer as it continues to strengthen and mature its global security capability.

This isn't a role focused purely on policies, compliance or technical security operations.

You'll operate across the full security landscape, coordinating incidents, understanding risk, challenging external security providers and helping senior stakeholders understand what security issues actually mean for the business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating security incidents and response processes, ensuring clear ownership and effective follow-through.
• Identifying information security risks and translating them into tangible business impact.
• Working across a predominantly Microsoft security environment.
• Managing external security and IT providers, challenging performance and holding suppliers accountable for delivery.
• Developing and maintaining security policies, controls and processes.
• Supporting security governance, audits, risk reporting and continuous improvement.
• Acting as a bridge between technical security teams, IT and the wider business.
• Contributing to the continued development of the organisation’s security capability and wider IT strategy.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We're looking for a broad information security professional rather than someone confined to a single area of security.

You don’t need to be the person configuring every security tool yourself, but you should understand security operations well enough to challenge specialists, ask the right questions and take ownership when something needs to happen.

You'll ideally bring:

• 5+ years' experience within Information Security or Cyber Security.
• Strong knowledge of security governance, risk and ISO 27001.
• Practical experience with security incident response and management.
• Experience working within a Microsoft security environment.
• Experience managing or working closely with external security or IT service providers.
• The ability to translate technical security issues into business risk and impact.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence engaging with senior leadership.
• A proactive approach, comfortable taking ownership, challenging others and making decisions.
• Professional fluency in English.
