Job summary

Competitive Capabilities International seeks an Independent Lean Implementation Consultant (Manufacturing) in the Netherlands to lead site-level improvement work. You will coach site teams, analyse losses, and turn opportunities into chartered projects with clear owners and targets.

You will introduce daily management and problem-solving routines, validate benefits, and engage all levels from operators to site leadership. International client engagements and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• An outstanding implementation consultant capable of building capability in site teams.
• At least 10 years in manufacturing operations with hands-on improvement responsibility.
• Industry experience in food/beverage, chemicals, pharma or FMCG preferred.
• Lean expertise including TPM, SMED, 5S, leader standard work; Lean Six Sigma belt an advantage.
• Track record of measurable, financially validated improvements and governance.
• Fluent Dutch and English; able to coach on shop floor and present to senior management.
• Available to travel to client sites 2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Coach site teams to lead improvement projects and build capability, not just deliver the solution.
• Carry out loss and waste analyses with site, quantifying losses in OEE, yield, waste, labour and changeovers.
• Prioritise opportunities and turn them into scoped, chartered projects with owners and timelines.
• Set up governance: project reviews, steering meetings, action tracking and benefits reporting.
• Introduce daily management, leader standard work and problem-solving routines for ongoing programmes.
• Ensure benefits are validated and sustained with standards before project close.
• Engage operators to senior leadership and ensure client ownership of results.
• Report progress against agreed engagement deliverables.
