Job summary

Vickerstock is seeking an experienced Shift Technician for an international food manufacturing site in IJmuiden. You will be hands-on, fault-finding across mechanical, electrical and some automation systems to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role is based on shift work within a maintenance and engineering team. You will diagnose faults, perform corrective repairs, conduct planned maintenance, and support equipment start-up after interventions, contributing to plant uptime and

Qualifications

Previous experience in a maintenance engineering or technician role within manufacturing.
Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience.
Experience diagnosing and resolving production equipment breakdowns.
Experience carrying out planned and preventative maintenance.
A proactive approach to identifying reliability and maintenance improvements.

Responsibilities

Diagnose faults using a range of measurement and diagnostic instruments.
Carry out corrective repairs across mechanical and electrical systems, with some I&C/automation involvement.
Dismantle and repair equipment using hand tools and workshop machinery.
Carry out emergency repairs in coordination with management.
Support Production during equipment start-up following maintenance interventions.
Escalate complex failures to Technical Specialists or external support when required.
