Job summary

The Hubrecht Institute in Utrecht invites an Imaging Specialist to support researchers by providing practical microscope training, technical guidance and daily assistance, enabling users to operate imaging systems confidently and independently.

You will join the Hubrecht Imaging Center on a 16-hour-per-week, part-time basis, contributing to a collaborative, cutting-edge environment and professional development through specialized microscopy training and ongoing learning opportunities within the

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with advanced fluorescence microscopy, preferably confocal microscopy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem solving abilities and a customer oriented mindset.
• A proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical microscope training to new users.
• Offer technical guidance and day-to-day support for imaging systems.
• Ensure users can confidently and independently operate imaging equipment.
