Job summary

IQSIGHT in Eindhoven seeks an experienced Imaging Lead Engineer to drive the imaging pipeline from optics to AI-based enhancements. You will bridge ISP, AI-driven image improvements, and real‑time processing, guiding the software stack and collaborating across imaging, optical, and silicon teams.

You will lead architecture discussions, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable, reliable imaging solutions while coordinating with external suppliers and product stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field.
• 8+ years of imaging systems experience, ISP development, image processing.
• Strong understanding of camera imaging pipelines, image quality tuning, and ISP architectures.
• Experience integrating image processing algorithms into embedded or real-time systems.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++ for prototyping and algorithm development.
• Experience with technical leadership, architecture design, and mentoring engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Characterize ISP capabilities and performance.
• Guide architecture and evolution of imaging software stack on top of third‑party SDKs.
• Create design specs, docs, and implementation guidelines.
• Develop prototypes, scripts, test frameworks, and validation pipelines.
• Evaluate emerging imaging technologies and AI-based enhancements.
• Translate concepts into practical engineering solutions.
• Lead integration and customization of vendor camera SDKs and imaging frameworks.
• Drive low-level software integration: sensor bring‑up, ISP features, control loops, performance.
