Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Data Centre Technician for our Middenmeer facility in Noord-Holland. The role concentrates on electrical systems—UPS, MV/LV switchgear, generators, busbar, and monitoring—while supporting broader facility tasks.

Qualifications

• A recognized technical qualification in electrical engineering or related discipline or equivalent apprenticeship.
• 1–2 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience, ideally in data centers, hospitals, or industrial plants.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems, UPS, and generator sets.
• Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and safe isolation procedures.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Good English communication; Dutch is a plus, with clear information exchange.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit for work at height and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems including UPS, generators, MV/LV switchgear, busbar trunking, PDUs, and ATS.
• Respond to faults and alarms, diagnose root causes, and perform corrective repairs per safety procedures.
• Perform daily site inspections of electrical plant and auxiliary systems, logging findings and escalating anomalies.
• Support commissioning, decommissioning, and change-management under permit-to-work controls.
• Work with specialist contractors during outages, ensure CBRE procedures and Master Service Agreement compliance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and CMMS documentation.
• Assist with general facility and mechanical tasks to improve data center reliability.
• Complete mandatory training including electrical safety, first aid, and site inductions.
