Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in critical environments.
• Knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems, UPS and generator sets.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on electrical systems including UPS, generators, MV/LV switchgear, busbar trunking, PDUs, and automatic transfer switches.
• Respond to faults and alarms, diagnose root causes, and perform repairs in line with safety procedures.
• Perform daily site inspections and log findings.
• Support commissioning, decommissioning, and change-management under permit-to-work.
• Oversee contractors during planned outages, ensuring CBRE processes.
• Maintain maintenance records in CMMS.
• Assist with general facility tasks to improve data center reliability.
• Complete mandatory training including electrical safety and inductions.

Job description

CBRE manages some of the most critical datacenter infrastructure in the world. At our Middenmeer facility inNoord-Holland, we keep hyperscale operations running with our dedicated team. We are looking for a hands-on Data Centre Technician to join the on-site team. This is a generalist technician role with a clear electrical focus: you willspend most of your time on electrical systems, from high-voltage systems andUPS to switchgear, busbar, and power monitoring. You will also support broaderfacility tasks as part of a multidisciplinary operations crew. With yourtechnical insight, you ensure that all work is carried out safely, accurately, and in accordance with applicable standards.

What You Will Do

• Carry out planned preventativemaintenance (PPM) on electrical systems, including UPS units, generators, MV/LVswitchgear, busbar trunking, PDUs, and automatic transfer switches.
• Respond to faults and alarms,diagnose root causes, and carry out corrective repairs in line with establishedsafe-isolation and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Perform daily site inspectionsof electrical plant and auxiliary systems, logging findings and escalatinganomalies promptly.
• Support commissioning,decommissioning, and change-management activities under permit-to-workcontrols.
• Work alongside specialistcontractors during planned outages, overseeing compliance with CBRE proceduresand the Master Service Agreement.
• Maintain accurate andup-to-date maintenance records, completing all required documentation in the computerizedmaintenance management system (CMMS).
• Assist with general facilityand mechanical tasks as required, contributing to the overall reliability ofthe data center.
• Complete all mandatorytraining, including electrical safety, first aid, and site-specific inductions.

What You Will Need

• A recognized technicalqualification in electrical engineering or a related discipline, or equivalentexperience gained through a formal apprenticeship.
• 1 to 2 years of hands-onexperience in electrical maintenance, ideally within a critical environmentsuch as a data center, hospital, or industrial plant.
• Sound knowledge of MV/LVelectrical systems, UPS technology, and generator sets.
• Familiarity with permit-to-worksystems and safe-isolation procedures.
• Confidence reading single-linediagrams and electrical schematics.
• Good English communicationskills (Dutch is an advantage), with the ability to exchange clear informationwith colleagues, contractors, and management.
• Working knowledge of MicrosoftOffice applications.
• Strong organizational skillsand an eye for detail.
• Physical fitness to meet thedemands of the role, including working at height and in confined spaces.
