Job summary

Pegamento is seeking a mid-level to senior Software Engineer to join our team in Zeist on a hybrid basis. You will own parts of our production software, champion clean design, and deliver robust features end-to-end using Python or React.

You’ll collaborate across product and backend teams, work with databases and APIs, and contribute to privacy, security, and performance in complex client environments. 32–40 hours per week, flexible start times, and a focus on real-world impact.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a software engineer in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript with React and end-to-end feature delivery.
• Experience with relational databases and APIs; ability to design before building.
• You use AI development tools critically and ensure security and quality.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch or English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Take independent ownership of a portion of the system landscape and justify technical decisions.
• Deliver fully functional features within an existing codebase and deploy to production.
• Collaborate with design and backend teams, participate in reviews and architectural sessions.
• Mentor colleagues and translate AI/LLM concepts into practical solutions.
