Job summary

BDR Thermea Group in Apeldoorn is seeking a Product Engineer to develop and improve mechanical components from concept to production. You will own parts such as sheet metal, plastic parts, piping, or assemblies, translating ideas into manufacturable designs and validating them with suppliers, prototyping, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years in product development or mechanical design.
• Experience creating 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Good English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve mechanical components and assemblies for new products.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings.
• Translate requirements into manufacturable designs and supplier specs.
• Perform engineering calculations and design validations.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation.
• Collaborate with suppliers, procurement, quality, and production.
• Contribute to products moving from concept to production.
