Job summary

ING is seeking an Associate for the Corporate Finance Mid-Market (CFMM) team within ING Business Banking NL. You will manage deals from pitch to close, performing market, sector and customer analyses, and drafting information memoranda with valuation work.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of demonstrable and relevant work experience in corporate finance, leveraged finance, acquisition finance or private equity.
• A university degree with above-average grades, preferably in economics or finance.
• Analytical skills, familiarity with balance sheets, results, cash flows and valuation techniques.
• Strong drive to make deals, present pitches and generate leads independently.
• Affinity with entrepreneurs and family firms in the Dutch mid-market.
• Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Excellent command of spoken and written Dutch and English.
• Team player, communicative, eager to learn, stress-resistant, entrepreneurial and hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Operational responsibility for deals in progress, from pitch to closing.
• Carry out analyses and draw up information memoranda; conduct valuation analyses.
• Guide customers through the buying or selling process and ensure transaction documents are processed correctly.
• Develop department knowledge on product and market developments; proactively share insights.
