Zuyd University of Applied Sciences in Heerlen is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to keep our IT environment reliable, secure, and future-proof for over 13,000 students and 2,500 staff. You will divide time between management and project work to prepare the infrastructure for tomorrow.

Responsibilities include managing VMware vSphere, Windows Server, Active Directory, storage and NAS; monitoring, lifecycle management, updates, capacity planning, and automating with PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Enterprise ID and Microsoft 365.
• Demonstrable knowledge of VMware vSphere and on-premises infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, storage and NAS.
• Team player, proactive, and able to resolve incidents and support the service desk.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and optimize the IT infrastructure.
• Provide second-line specialist support for complex infrastructure issues.
• Participate in improvement and migration projects, including transitioning to Azure Public Cloud.
• Monitor environment, perform lifecycle management, updates and capacity planning, and automate management with PowerShell.
