Job summary

Haskoning is seeking an Information Security Engineer to implement and continuously improve security controls across the enterprise IT landscape. You will work with IT Operations, architecture, and external partners to deliver secure operations and measurable improvements.

The role requires strong hands-on security engineering experience, collaboration with external providers, and the ability to communicate security topics in English and Dutch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cyber security, computer science or information technology, or equivalent.
• Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, CCSP or equivalent are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain technical security controls across endpoint, infrastructure, network, identity and hybrid/cloud-connected environments.
• Strengthen core cyber hygiene, including hardening, patching, logging, privileged access and secure configuration.
• Improve detection capability, telemetry quality and managed detection reporting.
• Contribute to IAM improvements and technical control effectiveness across the IT landscape.
• Support vulnerability management and risk-based remediation.
• Translate security standards and policies into practical technical implementation.
• Work closely with IT Operations, architecture and external partners to ensure secure operational delivery.
• Identify control gaps and help define measurable improvement actions and KPIs.
