Job summary

Marel is seeking an Embedded Vision Engineer for Poultry Innovation in Boxmeer. You will design and advance embedded vision platforms powering real-time inspection and processing for poultry, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

The role requires strong C++/Python development, experience with Embedded Linux on ARM, and deployment of AI inference using Triton. A leadership mindset and excellent English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, machine vision, or industrial automation environments.
• Strong experience with Embedded Linux and ARM-based platforms.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python software development.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application development.
• Experience deploying or supporting AI inference frameworks, preferably Triton Inference Server.
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbal; Dutch preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain embedded vision systems on Linux-based ARM platforms.
• Design scalable vision system architectures for next-generation poultry processing equipment.
• Integrate cameras, sensors, and illumination for high-speed image capture and analysis.
• Develop software in C++ and Python for image processing and machine control.
• Build and manage Docker containers for scalable deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead technical reviews and mentor junior engineers.
