Job summary

You will join Rabobank in a role focused on DevOps for mainframe environments. You bring a strong z/OS background and modern automation to deploy, test and maintain CI/CD pipelines for z/OS applications. You will collaborate with DevOps teams to enable reliable, secure, and rapid software delivery.

The position emphasizes designing, building and improving tools, pipelines, and deployment strategies in a hybrid work setting, with a clear focus on stability and scalability of core systems.

Qualifications

• HBO level education and thinking skills.
• At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps engineer, software engineer, technical administrator or functional application administrator.
• A mainframe background, preferably in system management, with knowledge of z/OS and preferably CICS, MQ, DB2, DataPower or COBOL.
• Experience automating mainframe tasks, preferably in a DevOps context.
• Knowledge of modern automation and CI/CD technologies such as Git, Ansible, Python, Java, pipeline automation and tooling in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience with programming languages such as COBOL, Java or Python.
• Understanding of business processes, applications and underlying infrastructure within a large organisation.

Responsibilities

• You work closely with the DevOps teams of Payment Solutions.
• You design, build, test and implement improvements to existing tooling and pipelines.
• You help build modern CI/CD solutions for z/OS applications.
• You support DevOps teams with complex technical integration challenges.
• You actively contribute to an Agile way of working: doing the right things at the right time.
• You safeguard quality, continuity and compliance in a highly available and business-critical environment.
