Job summary

Energyzero seeks an experienced Freelance BI Architect to design and build an AI-first BI platform from scratch in Almere, Netherlands. You will work with stakeholders to define architecture, trusted data models and a scalable foundation for dashboards and analytics.

Lead the end-to-end implementation, including Snowflake, dbt and Fivetran, while delivering an AI-ready semantic layer and governance. Collaboration is primarily remote with on-site sprints as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building a BI/analytics platform from scratch.
• Strong data architecture, modelling and SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt.
• Experience building and operating modern ELT/data pipelines.
• Ability to define governed semantic/business data models.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and build of the new BI foundation and governance.
• Set up Snowflake, Fivetran and a maintainable dbt structure.
• Design ingestion patterns for databases, events, APIs and SaaS platforms.
• Translate raw data into reusable business entities, dimensions and metrics.
• Deliver AI-ready semantic layer and an anomaly detection proof of concept.
