Job summary

Panda International is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager for a major international project in the Nijmegen area, Netherlands. This fully site-based role involves shaping and maintaining H&S policies across the project lifecycle, from design to handover, coordinating with project management, engineering, operations, contractors and regulators.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Health & Safety within complex industrial, manufacturing, engineering or construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Health & Safety strategy, plans, standards and procedures.
• Translate corporate H&S policies and regulatory requirements into project-specific needs.
• Act as H&S authority within the project team and provide expert guidance to leadership.
• Ensure H&S integration across design, engineering, construction, commissioning and operations readiness.
• Lead risk assessments, safety reviews and permit-to-work processes.
• Define and monitor contractor safety requirements and safety programs (LOTO, confined spaces, working at heights, electrical safety, lifting, ATEX).
• Conduct site inspections, safety walks, audits and observations; lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
