Job summary

Smulders HSM seeks an experienced HSE Advisor to strengthen safety across our offshore projects. You will translate regulations into practical solutions, advise management and stay visible on the work floor to drive safe practices.

You will collaborate with office teams, production, and contractors, conducting inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations, aiming to enhance the safety culture and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• MVK qualification or equivalent is required.
• Several years of relevant experience in an HSE or safety role.
• Experience in offshore, metal, heavy construction, energy, process or chemical industries.
• Knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards and safety requirements.
• Preferably experience with offshore projects and offshore practices.

Responsibilities

• Advise management, project teams and colleagues on HSE matters, proactively and on request.
• Be regularly present on the work floor and support teams in applying HSE requirements.
• Identify unsafe situations, risks and improvement opportunities and follow up.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety observations and audits.
• Support risk assessments, LMRA processes and toolbox talks.
• Investigate incidents and near misses and translate lessons learned into improvements.
• Ensure projects meet legislation, client requirements and internal HSE procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of safety management systems and culture.
• Collaborate with production, project management, engineering and QA teams.
