Job summary

Anotech is seeking an HSE Project Officer to operate on the fabrication yards in Schiedam and Stormpolder as part of offshore substation construction projects. You will report to the Site Manager and work closely with the HSE Project Lead to ensure compliance with internal HSE requirements and yard regulations.

The role emphasizes HSE supervision, incident reporting, risk assessments, and effective communication across contractor teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent (Bac+4/5) required.
• Fluent English; Dutch and/or French appreciated.
• Strong adaptability and multicultural awareness.
• Ability to produce training/safety materials and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• HSE supervision through site walks, audits, and evaluations.
• Contractor onboarding ensuring compliant HSE practices.
• Participate in HSE meetings with yard teams.
• Prepare reliable HSE reporting with timely submission.
• Conduct risk assessments (HIRA) and participate in planning.
• Lead incident reporting, follow-up, and corrective actions.
• Disseminate safety updates and consolidated indicators.
• Maintain HSE documentation and notes.
• Assist newcomers and service providers on projects.

• HSE supervision through regular site walks, audits, and performance evaluations.
• Contractor onboarding ensuring all intervening companies understand and apply required HSE standards.
• Active participation in HSE meetings alongside yard HSE teams.
• Reliable HSE reporting ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Risk assessments (HIRA) including planning, participation, and contribution.
• Incident management ensuring factual reporting and follow‑up of corrective actions.
• HSE communication including dissemination of consolidated indicators and safety updates.
• HSE documentation such as procedures, memos, and safety/environmental notes.
• Newcomer integration for project teams and service providers.
• PPE management and contribution to lessons‑learned consolidation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent (Bac+4/5).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar environment.
• Experience in construction yards and offshore substation projects is a strong asset.
• Solid knowledge of electrical risks (valid certification required).
• Fluent English; Dutch and/or French appreciated.
• Strong adaptability, communication, and multicultural awareness.
• Ability to produce training/safety materials and manage multiple projects.
• Stress resilience and reactivity in case of incidents.
• Valid driving licence (B or equivalent).
