The July, a premium hospitality brand, is seeking an HR Manager to lead the day-to-day HR operations for its apartment-hotel and restaurant in London Victoria. You will own the full employee journey, from recruitment through to employee relations, ensuring compliance with UK law and a people-first culture.

Reporting to the HR Director in Amsterdam, you will work hands-on with managers and staff, shaping a supportive, engaging workplace as The July continues to grow across London and beyond.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of HR experience within the London hospitality market.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and the local labour market.
• Natural coach with energy and enthusiasm.
• Confident working with managers and employees at all levels, including employee relations.
• Strong communication and planning skills.
• Hands-on and pragmatic approach to HR operations.
• Experience with HR administration and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Own HR for The July's London hotel and collaborate with the General Manager and management team to foster an inspiring, inclusive workplace.
• Manage full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, absence, wellbeing and engagement, payroll support, benefits, and records while ensuring UK employment compliance.
• Provide practical advice, coaching and support to managers to build a highly engaged team.

The July is looking for an HR Manager to lead the day-to-day HR operations for our apartment-hotel and restaurant in London Victoria. Our premium hotel has 114 rooms and two residential apartments, alongside a vibrant restaurant, bar and deli serving both guests and the local community.

The job

As our HR Manager, you’ll take ownership of HR for our London hotel, working closely with the General Manager and management team to create an inspiring, inclusive and people-focused workplace.

You’ll be hands-on across the full employee journey, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, performance and development. You’ll also manage day-to-day HR activities including absence management, wellbeing and engagement, training, payroll support, benefits and employee records, while ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation.

As a trusted partner to our managers, you’ll provide practical advice, coaching and support while helping build a strong engaged team.

Reporting to our HR Director in Amsterdam, you’ll have the freedom to bring your ideas and take ownership and make a real impact as The July continues to grow across London and beyond.

We are looking for:

• At least 3 years of HR experience within the London hospitality market.

• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and the local labour market.

• A natural coach and people person who brings energy and enthusiasm.

• Confidence working with managers and employees at all levels, including employee relations.

• Strong communicating and planning skills.

• A hands-on and pragmatic approach.

• Competent with HR administration and HR systems.
