Job summary

Teladoc Health is seeking a hands-on HR Manager to own People Operations for the Netherlands, based in Amsterdam. In this broad, autonomous role you will ensure HR operations, recruitment and employee processes run smoothly while partnering with the Country Manager and local Management Team.

This position plays a key role in running day-to-day HR operations while contributing to Teladoc Health's people strategy in Amsterdam as we scale.

Teladoc Health is looking for a hands-on HR Manager to take ownership of People Operations in the Netherlands. In this broad and autonomous role, you will ensure that our HR operations, recruitment and employee processes run smoothly, while acting as a trusted people partner to the Country Manager and local Management Team.

You will be the primary HR contact for employees in the Netherlands and work closely with colleagues in our regional and global People & Culture organization. Your initial focus will be on operational excellence, Dutch employment-law compliance, recruitment and employee experience. As the local HR foundation develops, you will also contribute to workforce planning, organizational development and other strategic people priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end HR operations: contracts, onboarding, offboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee records
• Act as the first point of contact for employees on all people-related questions, from day-one logistics to day-to-day issues
• Advise the Country Manager and local Management Team on people, organization and employment matters.
• Ensure full compliance with Dutch labor law and internal policies, keeping documentation and processes audit-ready
• Manage recruitment end to end for open roles, from job description to offer, as the main person driving the process
• Build and continuously improve onboarding so new joiners ramp up quickly and feel at home fast
• Take full ownership of HR processes day to day, prioritizing operational excellence and consistent execution over ad-hoc fixes
• Identify gaps in current HR processes and implement practical, scalable improvements
• Maintain accurate HR systems, trackers, and reporting so leadership always has an up-to-date picture of the team
• Translate global People policies into effective local practices and identify where adaptation to Dutch requirements is needed.
• Contribute to strategic people topics as they arise, including workforce planning, compensation benchmarking, and org design input, while keeping operational delivery as the day-to-day priority

About You!

Experience

• At least five years of broad HR experience, including substantial hands-on responsibility for HR operations in the Netherlands.
• Sound working knowledge of Dutch employment law and local HR practices.
• Experience with employee relations, absence management, payroll coordination and end-to-end recruitment.
• Experience in an international, fast-growing, startup or scale-up environment is an advantage.

Languages

• Professional fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong digital proficiency, including experience with HRIS, payroll interfaces, reporting tools and Microsoft 365.
• Essential: high execution power, approachable and easy-going manners, pragmatism, clear communication, with strong judgement, ownership, discretion, the ability to set priorities independently, and eagerness to grow with the company

Education requirements

• Minimum studies: relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits

The gross monthly salary for this role ranges from EUR 5,750 to EUR 7,000 based on a 40-hour working week, excluding 8% holiday allowance. The final offer will reflect the candidate’s relevant experience and fit with the scope of the role. In addition, we offer pension contribution, travel allowance, Teladoc Academy and a hybrid working arrangement.
