Job summary

Arvato is seeking an HR Advisor Northern Europe to support managers and employees across the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. The role blends hands-on HR delivery with strategic business partnering to translate topics into practical actions that boost performance, growth and employee experience.

You will work within the Netherlands HR team, report to the HR Manager Cloud Services in Ireland, and collaborate with Nordic colleagues.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or similar HR role.
• Strong working knowledge of Dutch employment law.
• Experience partnering with managers on employee relations and performance topics.
• Experience in an international, multi-site or multi-country environment.
• Languages: strong communication skills in English; Dutch and/or a Nordic language is an advantage.
• Driver’s license preferred due to regional scope.

YOUR TASKS

As HR Advisor Northern Europe, you act as the first HR point of contact for managers and employees in the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. You combine hands‑on HR delivery with strategic business partnering, translating HR topics into practical actions that support performance, growth and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Business partnering & manager support — Partner with leaders on employee relations, performance, engagement, workforce planning and organizational change.
• Hands‑on HR delivery — Manage recruitment, onboarding, contracts, contract changes, documentation, probation, absence, mobility and offboarding.
• Compliance & employee relations — Guide managers through performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance matters with a fair and compliant approach.
• Regional build‑out & improvement — Shape scalable HR processes and contribute to integration, change and improvement projects.

Team & Reporting

You are embedded in the Netherlands HR team, work closely with the regional manager, and have a dotted‑line reporting relationship to the HR Manager Cloud Services in Ireland. You collaborate with local HR colleagues and external legal experts for Nordic employment matters.

Shifts

This role does not involve shift work and offers hybrid flexibility.

A gross monthly salary between €3,028 and €5,752 based on 40 hours, depending on experience;

YOUR PROFILE

We’re looking for a pragmatic, energetic and solutions‑focused HR Business Partner who enjoys working in a dynamic, international and fast‑changing environment.

Several years of experience as HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or similar HR role;

Strong working knowledge of Dutch employment law;

Experience partnering directly with managers on employee relations and performance topics;

Experience in an international, multi‑site or multi‑country environment;

Languages: strong communication skills in English; Dutch and/or a Nordic language is an advantage;

Must‑haves: hands‑on mindset, independence, ownership, discretion and attention to detail;

Technical/system knowledge: HR systems and data‑driven HR insights;

Nice to have: experience with Nordic HR practices;

Driver’s license preferred due to regional scope.
