Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam is seeking a Turndown Attendant to prepare guest rooms for the evening, delivering a luxurious, welcoming atmosphere.

You will refresh bedding, tidy rooms, and adjust lighting to meet 5‑star standards, while reporting any issues to supervisors. The role runs on evenings (5 PM–11 PM) in the heart of Amsterdam, within the prestigious Amrâth Hotels group.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, hospitality, or housekeeping is a plus but not required.
• Keen eye for detail and understanding of 5‑star service.
• Reliable and punctual; available for evening shifts 5 PM to 11 PM in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Refresh bedding, arrange pillows and blankets, maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Prepare rooms for turndown by making beds, closing curtains, and adjusting lighting.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or guest requests to supervisors.
• Collaborate with housekeeping to ensure seamless guest experience.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable Turndown Attendant with a keen eye for detail to join our evening team. In this role, you will go beyond the basics to create a warm, luxurious retreat for our guests. By preparing the rooms for a restful night, from perfecting the bedding to setting the ideal ambient lighting, you ensure that every guest feels truly welcome. If you take pride in the finer details and delivering high service standards, we would love to meet you.

What will you do?

As a Turndown Employee, you will be responsible for perfectly preparing guest rooms for the evening by performing turndown services, including making beds, closing curtains, and adjusting lighting to create a welcoming atmosphere.

• You refresh bedding, arrange pillows and blankets as needed, and maintain high cleanliness standards.
• You replace used towels, replenish amenities, and empty trash bins to keep the rooms tidy.
• It is essential that each room meets the strict presentation requirements of the hotel in Amsterdam.
• You remain alert to report any maintenance issues, damage, or specific guest requests to your supervisors.
• You act as a collaborative team member and support the housekeeping department with other related tasks as needed to ensure a seamless experience for every guest.

In the former Shipping House of Amsterdam, you will find one of the city's most iconic five‑star hotels: Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam. The hotel features 205 luxurious rooms, including 22 suites, 8 meeting and event spaces, a Bar Lounge, and a Spa & Wellness center. Located just 500 meters from Amsterdam Central Station, it is an absolute prime location.

Who are we looking for?

• Experience in cleaning, hospitality, or housekeeping is a plus but not required.
• You have a keen eye for detail and understand what 5‑star service entails.
• A positive attitude and you are a true team player.
• Basic skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Reliability and punctuality; you are available for evening shifts from 5 PM to 11 PM in Amsterdam.

What we offer

• An exciting role as a Turndown Employee for a minimum of 24 and a maximum of 38 hours in the heart of Amsterdam.
• A salary according to the Hospitality Collective Labor Agreement, €14,90 to €15,68 per hour, depending on your experience.
