Job summary

Ruby Hotels in Amsterdam seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to ensure the hotel’s systems run smoothly, from HVAC and plumbing to electrical work. You’ll handle repairs, coordinate with external providers, and support housekeeping and management.

Fluent Dutch is preferred; English is a plus. The role offers a 35-hour week with benefits like workwear and a mobility stipend, plus opportunities for training and career growth in a lean luxury environment.

Qualifications

• All-rounder with solid technical skills and craftsmanship.
• Apprenticeship in HVAC, plumbing or electrical work is a plus.
• Hands-on experience and versatility matter more than formal credentials.
• Several years of professional experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Take care of small repairs, touch-ups and maintenance tasks – from dripping taps to squeaky doors.
• Keep an eye on technical systems and ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Coordinate external service providers and oversee facility management.
• Roll up your sleeves for painting and sealing work throughout the hotel.
• Work with our Corporate Office in Munich and align with the housekeeping team.
• Monitor regular maintenance and safety checks – in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
• Order materials you need for your work – in consultation with the Hotel Manager.
