What Does a Housekeeper Do?

As a housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the hotel are kept clean and well-maintained. Your key duties will include:

Working within a team to maintain hotel housekeeping, including laundry, public rooms, private rooms, bedrooms, staff areas, and other internal hotel locations such as the main entrance area.

Performing daily maintenance of public spaces.

Cleaning bedrooms daily, including making/changing beds, replacing soiled towels, sterilizing bathrooms, replacing toiletries, vacuuming carpets, and taking out trash.

Cleaning and preparing rooms when visitors leave on their final day.

Ensuring adherence to organizational and quality standards, including cleanliness, hygiene, health and safety regulations, and working rules and procedures.

Handling lost goods in accordance with established protocols.
