Job summary

NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Employee to join our in-house team. You will monitor and maintain building systems, perform preventive and corrective work, and support energy management to ensure guest comfort.

As a full-time role in Amsterdam, you will assist the maintenance manager, coordinate with vendors, and contribute to safe, seamless hotel operations. Fluency in Dutch and/or English is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance manager in day-to-day work and oversee preventive maintenance of all equipment.
• Carry out corrective maintenance activities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in implementing security measures and ensure necessary permits are available.
• Propose investments, replacements, or contract adjustments with vendors.
• Coordinate external vendors' maintenance activities with hotel departments.
• Monitor energy consumption and maintenance costs (water, electricity).
• Assist in setting up meeting rooms (audiovisuals, lighting, etc.).
• Resolve guest incidents promptly and appropriately.
