Job summary

Fortaegis Technologies is seeking a PCB design and verification engineer to support the design, validation, and bring up of custom PCB solutions. You will collaborate with partners to create designs including high speed networking, FPGA/MCU integration, and Fortaegis proprietary ASIC integration.

The role emphasizes hands-on bring-up, hardware debugging, lab measurements, and close coordination with FPGA, ASIC, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in PCB design for high-speed digital systems.
  • Proven knowledge of signal integrity, impedance control, differential pair routing, and high-speed interface design.
  • Preferred experience designing for FPGA, MCU, or ASIC-based platforms.
  • Solid understanding of power supply design, PDN analysis, and board-level power sequencing.
  • Hands-on experience with board bring-up, hardware debugging, and lab measurements.

Responsibilities

  • Closely collaborate with our partners in designing multi layer PCBs.
  • Perform schematic reviews.
  • Oversee prototype validation, including power validation, interface testing, board bring up and debugging.
  • Conduct hardware validation on prototype PCBs.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including hands-on rework.
  • Collaborate closely with the FPGA, ASIC, and software teams to ensure seamless hardware/software integration.
