Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Health, Safety and Environment.
• Fluent Dutch language skills are essential.

• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, processing or operational environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the primary HSE point of contact onsite.
• Support operations and maintenance teams on health, safety and environmental matters.
• Drive continuous improvement of site safety performance.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch HSE legislation and company standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Support development and implementation of HSE strategies and initiatives.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the facility.
• Maintain and improve management systems aligned with ISO standards.

Salary: €50,000 - €90,000 + 8% holiday allowance + benefits

G2 Recruitment is partnering with a major international processing plant in the Haarlem region to appoint an experienced MVK Specialist on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HSE professional who enjoys working closely with operations, maintenance, and site teams to drive a strong safety culture and support safe, incident-free operations.

As the site's dedicated MVK Specialist, you will take ownership of health, safety, and environmental activities across a live operational processing facility. Working closely with management and operational teams, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving safety performance, and ensuring HSE standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the primary HSE point of contact onsite


• Supporting operational and maintenance teams on all health, safety and environmental matters


• Driving continuous improvement of site safety performance


• Ensuring compliance with Dutch HSE legislation and company standards


• Conducting risk assessments, inspections, audits and incident investigations


• Supporting the development and implementation of HSE strategies and initiatives


• Promoting a proactive and positive safety culture throughout the facility


• Maintaining and improving management systems aligned with ISO standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience within Health, Safety and Environment


• Strong knowledge of Dutch HSE legislation and regulations


• Experience working within industrial, manufacturing, processing or operational environments


• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001


• Confident communicating with management, operational and maintenance teams


• Positive, proactive and adaptable approach to HSE


• Fluent Dutch language skills (essential)
