Mediq seeks a Head of Supply Chain Data & Analytics to shape and deliver an Europe-wide Operations Data & Analytics strategy. You will build the group function, establish trusted data foundations and drive analytics/AI to improve cost, productivity, service and working capital.
You report to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and sit on the Operations Leadership Team, with a dotted line to IT & MDM for platform alignment. This is a senior, strategic role with cross-country impact.
Are you a senior Data & Analytics leader who knows how to turn operational data into measurable business performance? Have you built data capabilities from the ground up and moved organizations from retrospective reporting towards truly data-driven performance management? At Mediq, we are looking for a Head of Supply Chain Data & Analytics to shape and deliver our Operations Data & Analytics strategy across Europe. You will build the Group Supply Chain Data & Analytics function, create a trusted operational data foundation and use analytics and AI to improve cost, productivity, service and working capital.
You report directly to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, a member of the Executive Board, and are a member of the Operations Leadership Team. You have a dotted reporting line to the Head of IT & MDM for platform and architecture alignment.
Mediq Operations spans approximately 900 people across 14 countries. Our operational platform is consolidating from 25 warehouses to 4 hubs and from 20 ERP environments to 3. We manage approximately €140 million in inventory and around €100 million in Group Supply Chain OPEX.
Our ambition is to make Operations measurable, comparable and continuously improvable across every market and site.
As Head of Supply Chain Data & Analytics, you build the capability that makes this possible. You create common definitions, trusted data and clear ownership and establish a performance-management approach that allows us to understand not only what happened, but why – and what we need to change.
Your role covers both ends of the discipline: operational data ownership and governance on the way in, and state-of-the-art analytics and AI on the way out.
You will shape the strategy and build the function while simultaneously using data to improve operational performance.
Your key responsibilities include:
This role is not about producing more dashboards.
You connect customer outcomes, operational processes, productivity, cost and working capital so that performance can be managed through the drivers that determine the result.
When analysis identifies excess inventory, service failures or cost variances, you establish the root cause and translate the insight into a concrete change. You ensure those requirements find their way into transformation initiatives, S&OP, technology and process design.
Performance reviews should result in decisions, named actions and measurable follow-through – not another explanation of historical performance.
You combine deep Data & Analytics expertise with a strong understanding of Operations and business performance. You are credible with technical specialists and senior business leaders in the same conversation.
We are looking for:
Success is not measured by how many dashboards, models or AI solutions your team creates. It is measured by the business value they unlock.
You understand the drivers behind operational results, trace variances back to their root causes and translate insights into measurable improvements in OPEX, working capital, productivity and customer service.
You also understand that reliable data requires trust. You bring markets, Operations, IT, Finance and S&OP together around common definitions and create a performance culture in which the numbers are trusted and used to drive action.
Ultimately, you build a capability that scales beyond the central team: automated where possible, well documented and embedded throughout the organization.
This is a highly visible Group leadership role with the opportunity to build a strategically important capability from the ground up.
You can expect:
Mediq is a leading European healthcare company. We support healthcare professionals and patients with medical devices, healthcare solutions and services and work every day to make healthcare more accessible and affordable.
As Head of Supply Chain Data & Analytics, you have the opportunity to fundamentally change how our Operations organization uses data: moving from explaining performance after the fact towards understanding its drivers, taking action and continuously improving performance.
