Job summary

Qlayers in Delft is hiring a Head of Production to lead the scale‑up of multi‑product robot assembly. This hands‑on leadership role will define production direction, build the team and processes, and unblock risks to ensure on‑time delivery while maintaining quality and cost targets.

You will own the production strategy, structure, budget, and supplier interfaces, and collaborate across Development, Sales and Management in a fast‑moving scale‑up environment.

Qualifications

• Track record scaling a manufacturing/assembly operation.
• Experience managing COGS, budgets and cost reduction.
• Ability to build processes from scratch and scale with complexity.
• Strong negotiation skills for suppliers and partnerships.
• Experience building or scaling an international supply chain.
• Capable of strategic and operational leadership in one role.
• Robotics or complex electromechanical product experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define the direction and goals for production targets as robot volume and product variety grow.
• Identify and mitigate risks to series production before line stoppages.
• Build the international supply chain needed to support 2x+ monthly volume across multiple robot types.
• Establish strategic partnerships (suppliers, contract manufacturers, logistics).
• Own the robot delivery schedule and keep all stakeholders aligned on it.
• Design and maintain the Assembly Flow framework—the operating system for production.
• Set up and maintain the Division and its working documents as truth for production.
• Ensure delivery schedules are communicated clearly across divisions.
