Job description

We are a multinational corporation serving both B2B & B2C markets with annual revenues of approximately €1 billion in the Netherlands and Belgium.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Head of IT Operations to support the CIO as his second-in-command.

This is a hybrid role with approx. 2-3 days in the office per week with occasional travel to Belgium.

About the role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and control of IT operations and delivery ensuring that IT service delivery operations are stable and predictable (Run & Change), allowing the CIO to focus on strategic initiatives.

Other core duties for this role are:

• Coordinating the delivery of IT operations according to organizational governance frameworks
• Ensuring that IT operations align with central IT platforms and architecture
• Representing and advocating for IT interests and requirements to the central IT function
• Ensuring that IT operations adhere to relevant business and legal standards, security and compliance frameworks
• Taking responsibility for the management of IT teams and supporting their development through coaching and training

About you

• Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or a similar technology-related field, or has equivalent experience
• Extensive experience in operational IT management role(s) within complex environments
• Prior experience working in international matrix organizations is preferred
• Ability to empower teams and colleagues, guiding them to success
• Good strategizing and decision‑making skills
• Pragmatic and resilient with a hands‑on approach
• Excellent communicator with the ability to influence others and escalat e effectively
• Able to act decisively while ensuring sensitivity within a culturally diverse environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English, conversational knowledge of Dutch.
