Nedstar in Amsterdam is seeking a Head of Logistics to design, build, and scale a world‑class logistics operation. You’ll own end‑to‑end logistics, lead from the front, and drive a high‑performance team with smart processes and automation.

You will align operational execution with commercial growth, build scalable systems, and maintain strong supplier/carrier relationships. This role sits at the center of strategy and delivery in a fast‑growing company.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in logistics or supply chain.
• 3–5 years in a leadership role (Lead, Manager, Head of).
• Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
• Proven ability to build and scale teams into self-sufficient units.
• Strong architect mindset – design before optimisation.
• Process and systems thinker with automation focus.
• Hands-on leadership; execution is required, not delegation.
• Strong stakeholder management with Sales, Finance, and external partners.
• Analytical and cost-driven approach; tech-savvy with continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own and run end-to-end logistics operations.
• Architect and build a scalable logistics organisation.
• Assess team capacity and upgrade where needed.
• Build a self-sufficient, high-performance team.
• Implement smart processes, systems, and automation.
• Continuously ask what can be improved, simplified, or automated.
• Drive cost efficiency and operational reliability.
• Ensure full shipment visibility and control.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and carriers.
• Enable the commercial team – logistics should accelerate growth, not block it.
• Set up dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking.
