Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a senior Financial Controller to lead a regional Financial Control team in Amsterdam. You will drive IFRS compliance, ensure accurate financial statements, and oversee statutory accounts and tax obligations.

The role requires a strong track record in international accounting, 10+ years of experience, and excellent communication with non-finance stakeholders. You will mentor others and collaborate across finance to optimize ERP usage.

Qualifications

• Broad accounting experience in a complex, international, or listed environment.
• Accounting qualification (RA, CA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with at least 10 years working experience, preferably in external audit.
• Advanced technical accounting knowledge, IFRS-focused.
• Solutions-based approach to overcome challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills to distill complex topics for non-finance stakeholders.
• Proven experience in people management and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing regional Financial Control team, driving excellence across all deliverables.
• Monitor the quality of transactional work performed by the GFO team in accordance with IFRS and local requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the business, finance business partners and other finance departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
• Oversee and ensure timely compliance with local statutory accounts, tax obligations, and the internal control framework.
• Partner with the Finance Systems team to maximise the efficiency and appropriate use of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Implement streamlined processes and lead complex technical accounting projects such as impairment analysis.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
