Job summary

ING Analytics seeks a senior leader to head the Analytics Office and drive Strategy & Transformation across ING Analytics. You will set enterprise analytics and AI direction, drive transformation across countries, govern responsible AI, and translate strategy into measurable business value.

You will lead the Strategy & Transformation team, coach analytics leaders, and engage senior leadership to accelerate value realization while shaping external positioning through partnerships and industry

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years leading AI execution at scale in a multi-country environment.
  • Proven track record defining and delivering enterprise analytics, AI or digital transformation strategies.
  • Experience coordinating governance, value management and executive decision support.
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative, scientific, engineering, technology or other relevant discipline.

Job description

We are looking for a senior leader to head the Analytics Office and lead Strategy & Transformation for ING Analytics. The role defines and drives ING’s enterprise-wide analytics and AI agenda, including generative and agentic AI, and translates strategic ambition into measurable business value.

You will set portfolio direction, lead transformation across countries and domains, strengthen governance and critical enablers, and advise senior leadership on how ING can scale AI responsibly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the enterprise-wide analytics and AI strategy, including generative and agentic AI.

  • Identify priority domains and translate emerging capabilities into scalable business opportunities.

  • Lead portfolio intake, prioritisation, business-case validation and executive decision-making.

Transformation & Execution
  • Own the global transformation roadmap and align country and domain plans with enterprise priorities.

  • Drive coordinated change across technology, risk, people, skills and the operating model.

  • Monitor execution, resolve cross-functional impediments and accelerate time to value.

Governance & Value
  • Establish governance, decision rights and controls for responsible AI delivery at scale.

  • Define and track financial, customer, operational, adoption and transformation outcomes.

  • Ensure portfolio decisions are supported by transparent evidence of expected and realised value.

Leadership & Capability Building
  • Lead and develop the Strategy & Transformation team.

  • Coach analytics and product leaders to strengthen ownership and execution discipline.

  • Drive enterprise data fluency, AI upskilling and consistent analytics ways of working.

Executive Engagement & External Positioning
  • Advise senior leadership and prepare clear recommendations, decision materials and progress updates.

  • Shape a consistent internal and investor-facing narrative on AI-driven value creation.

  • Represent ING Analytics in selected partnerships, research collaborations and industry forums.

Success Measures
  • Enterprise analytics and AI strategy endorsed and translated into executable roadmaps.

  • Measurable value realised through the analytics and AI portfolio.

  • Faster progression from use-case intake to implementation and value realisation.

  • Delivery of priority enablers across technology, risk, people and the operating model.

  • Increased analytics maturity, data fluency and responsible AI adoption across ING.

  • Clear and credible communication of AI progress to senior leadership, investors and external stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For
Experience & Education
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years leading AI execution at scale in a multi-country environment.

  • Proven track record defining and delivering enterprise analytics, AI or digital transformation strategies, including customer-facing applications.

  • Experience in portfolio governance, business-case evaluation, value management and executive decision support.

  • Experience coordinating business, technology, data, risk, legal and compliance stakeholders to deliver complex change.

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative, scientific, engineering, technology or other relevant discipline.

Skills
  • Strong understanding of AI, generative AI, machine learning and the platforms and controls required to scale them responsibly.

  • Enterprise strategy, transformation, governance and change-management expertise.

  • Strong analytical judgement and ability to translate complex topics into clear executive decisions.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across functions, cultures and geographies.

  • Proven people leadership and ability to develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
