Job summary

Japanese manufacturer near Amsterdam is seeking an Application Engineer to support sales with technical expertise on hardware products, especially fan motors and cooling fans. This role acts as a liaison between European customers and overseas development/manufacturing teams and involves travel across Europe.

The ideal candidate has a strong hardware engineering background, knowledge of motors/electronics, and business-level English.

Qualifications

Strong hardware engineering background with knowledge of motors, fan motors and electronics.
Experience with fan motors or related hardware products is advantageous.
Experience in product development, R&D, quality assurance, technical support or application engineering would be advantageous.
Business-level English communication is essential; Japanese language skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and application support to customers in cooperation with the sales team.
Handle fan motors, cooling fans, and related hardware products.
Understand customer technical requirements and communicate them clearly to overseas development and manufacturing teams.
Act as a technical liaison between European customers and development teams in Japan and China.
Build strong working relationships with internal engineering teams and manufacturing sites.
Support technical discussions, product enquiries and troubleshooting.
Travel within Europe, including Germany, when required.
