Job summary

StaffingBird is seeking an Engineering Lead / Engineering Manager to steer a small engineering squad while staying hands-on with technology. You’ll balance technical leadership and people management, owning architecture, delivery, engineering standards and team development, and you will work closely with Product on the roadmap.

The role also emphasizes hiring, coaching, code reviews, and reducing technical debt in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Engineering Lead, Engineering Manager or similar.
• Hands-on experience with software architecture and development.
• Experience managing and developing engineers.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and delivery of your squad.
• Stay hands-on with C#/.NET development.
• Make architectural and design decisions.
• Work closely with Product on the roadmap.
• Lead code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
• Identify technical risks and reduce technical debt.
• Manage, coach and develop engineers.
• Conduct 1:1s and support individual growth.
• Take ownership of hiring and team development.
